Danny Crates is one of the UK’s most decorated Paralympians, a gold medallist, world and European champion, former world record holder, and the proud flag bearer for Great Britain at the Beijing 2008 Paralympic Games. He one of the most inspiring figures in British sport. At just 21, he lost his right arm in a car accident, on to win gold in the 800m at the Athens 2004 Paralympic Games, setting a world record in the process. Over a career spanning more than a decade, he claimed 11 gold medals across the Paralympic Games, World Championships, European Championships, and Paralympic World Cup.
