Meet the team - Performing Artistes

JJ Jackson - Director

JJ has worked in events for over 25 years, and is now "poacher turned game keeper", booking celebrities for corporate events rather than running them himself, and finds previous experience invaluable when guiding both clients and artistes.

Like all of the team, JJ is dedicated to customer service, and going the extra mile. He lives in london, and his passions outside of business include classic cars, golf and fine dining.

Sophie Evans

Sophie has been in the event industry for over 7 years, with her passion beginning at university, where she studied Event & Festival Management and graduated in 2017 with a drive to continue her work in the events and live entertainment industry.

Sophie has a wide range of experience including hiring Santa’s and Elves for Christmas Grottos(!), assisting in the successful completion of 3 large exhibitions located in London and abroad as both a speaker and sponsor booker, and now finding herself at Performing Artistes, and loving every minute!

Sophie continues to enjoy planning and attending gigs and festivals as well as learning about live broadcasting from our Gt Portland Street studio.

Sophie Church

Sophie started in the world of comedy and was an agent for over 13 years at Chambers Management, whose alumni included Jimmy Carr, Sarah Millican and Frankie Boyle. She managed the careers and corporate bookings of many successful acts.

She joined Performing Artistes in 2018, initially in an admin and logistics role, with clients and artistes alike appreciating her efficiency and level headedness. She has now branched out into handling bookings and enquiries as well, and is a valued member of the team, dedicated to the success of all our clients’ events.
