Shortlist

David Trick was born in Dartford, Kent on 26th October 1960, his family moved shortly afterwards to the West Country where he was educated at Bryanston School and Bath University.

His introduction to rugby came when he was eight, although he still wonders why his father gave him a rugby ball instead of a golf club to play with.

David Trick represented England at every level from U16 through to full International.  He joined Bath in 1978 whilst still at school and played almost three hundred games, scoring 191 tries.  David was also the National Junior 100m sprint Champion with a best time of 10.4 seconds.  Late nights and beer steered him away from athletics towards rugby shortly after this brief flirtation with athletics success.

David toured Argentina and South Africa with the England team and played twelve games (scoring eleven tries) between 1980 and 1986.

He is now married to Jill and the proud father of two boys, one of whom he is hoping will play professional golf and employ him as a caddy!

He has spoken at numerous corporate dinners including The Stock Exchange, Norwich Union, and Bass.
