Dr Dawn has been an NHS doctor for over 30 years and currently works in General Practice in Gloucestershire.

She splits her week between clinical practice and working on all platforms of the media. Her ability to simplify complex medical issues has made her an extremely sought-after medical commentator and expert.

Dawn has authored 12 books, her latest, published by Headline is “Live Well to 101” which looks at all the factors influencing healthy longevity 

She trained at Charing Cross & Westminster Medical School in London. She spent several years working in hospital specialities during which she became a member of the Royal College of Physicians before then starting a family and moving into general practice. Her formal qualifications are Medical Batchelor, Batchelor of Science, Member of the Royal College of Physicians, Diploma of Child Health, Diploma of the Faculty of Family Planning.
 
Dr Dawn co-presents Channel 4's most popular show Embarrassing Bodies and the BAFTA award winning Channel4.com/bodies website   She has also been a regular on ITV's This Morningand has appeared on numerous other television programmes including The Gadget Show and The Wright Stuff on Five, Sunrise on Sky Looking Good Feeling Great & Today on ITV.

Dawn is an excellent public speaker and is often booked to give key note presentations at conferences on a range of medical topics. She also regularly presents medical corporate videos and is involved with health related PR activities and campaigns involving radio days and press briefings.

Dawn is a keen supporter of children's charities. She is a trustee of Hop, Skip and Jump and Hannah's Gifts. For the last two years she has led Team GP on a fundraising cycle from London to Paris in aid of Touching Tiny Lives
