Jamie MacDonald is an award-winning stand-up comedian, writer, actor and voiceover artist who also happens to be blind
Hailing from Glasgow, Jamie is a familiar face on TV, featuring on shows such as 'Have I Got News for You', Celebrity Mastermind and 'QI'. In 2022 Jamie won a prestigious Grierson award in the Best Presenter category for the BBC 2 documentary ‘Blind Ambition’ and he has written and performed 8 critically acclaimed shows at the Edinburgh Fringe.
While his blindness flavours his comedy, it doesn’t define it and he is an influential voice in the spheres of diversity equality and inclusion. His blend of humorous lived experiences allows him to deliver powerful messages on Diversity and Inclusion, Disability Awareness and Living with Blindness through his engaging and comedic keynotes.
Jamie’s been invited to speak at many prodigious events including the Oxford student Union, the Moth podcast Live, Edinburgh University and various NHS trusts.
