Her Op-Eds and essays have been published in The New York Times, The Boston Globe, Boston Magazine, and the "Norton Sampler of Essays."
She graduated from Yale with a dual major in Philosophy and Psychology and earned a master's degree in Journalism and International Affairs at Columbia University.
She sits on the board of the Council of Strategic Risks, a DC based think tank addressing security challenges. She is also on the board of the Harvard Musical Association.
She's a member of the President's Council of the New England Conservatory of Music and Board of Advisors for Franciscan Children's Hospital. She is a founding member of SheGives, a philanthropic fund created by women.
She was named the 2015 New England Girl Scouts "Leading Woman of the Year" and delivered a TEDX talk on exploration and resilience.
She has traveled to 90 countries, 41 of them alone.
