Billy Billingham

Billy Billingham MBE QCB is Chief Instructor on the hit UK TV series SAS: Who Dares Wins.

He is also a DS on the prime-time USA Fox TV series Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test.

Joining the Parachute Regiment in 1983, Billy held numerous positions, from Patrol Commander for worldwide operational tours through to Training Instructor.

In 1991 Billy passed SAS selection and joined the World’s leading Special Forces regiment.

He has been responsible for training, planning and executing strategic Tier 1 operations at the highest level around the globe.

As a result, he has received numerous awards, including a Queen’s Commendation for Bravery and an MBE, presented to him by HM Queen Elizabeth II.

A decorated military leader, Billy served over 20 years in the SAS.

Following a distinguished military career, Billy entered the world of bodyguarding. Billy protected many A-list Hollywood celebrities, including Tom Cruise, Sir Michael Caine and Russell Crowe before becoming head of security for Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie.

A best-selling author, his novels include Call to Kill and Survive to Fight, both based on Billy’s experiences.

His autobiography ‘The Hard Way: Adapt, Survive and Win’ details his story so far. It’s an inspiring read that educates and enthrals those wishing to seek a challenge and conquer it the SAS way.

Billy has also presented his own BBC One television series SAS: Catching the Criminals.

He tours the UK, speaking to sell-out audiences.
