Michael Akadiri is a fast rising multi award winning comedian. His natural charm and cheeky, observational style has already seen him make an impact on the UK comedy scene.
Michael’s burgeoning TV Career has seen him feature on Comedy Central LIVE (Comedy Central), The Stand Up Sketch Show (ITV2) and Channel 4’s Stand Up to Cancer. His radio credits include the Capital Xtra’s Breakfast Show, BBC Radio 4’s Loose Ends, BBC Radio 4 Extra’s Comedy Club and stand-up on Radio 4’s Fred at the Stand.
In the social media space, he has collaborated with Channel 4 (Jokes Only), Ladbible UK (NewFade prank) & Project Giving Back (Chelsea Flower Show, 2024).
As well as performing comedy, Michael works as a junior doctor in the NHS and is currently on a sabbatical from his surgical training. His medical background means he’s also in demand as a health commentator, appearing both on TV (BBC Two’s Newsnight) & Radio (Times Radio).
Michael’s 2022 Edinburgh Fringe debut was a huge success, his show ‘No Scrubs’ sold out it’s run and culminated in a nomination for the Biggest Award in Comedy. Following a successful UK tour, the show is now available to view as a YouTube Special.
Michael can be seen live, performing at the top comedy clubs in the country not limited to the Comedy Store, Glee Club and Komedia. He’s also a well sought after corporate act, whether performing or hosting and his previous clients include Apple UK, Spotify UK & NHS England.
Michael will soon embark on the second leg of sophomore show tour, Trust Me, I’m a Daddy around the country in 2025.
