Miles is a popular actor, comedian and writer. A man of many talents, his acting is not just confined to the stage, having appeared on the big screen in a number of productions most notably Harry Potter: And The Order Of The Phoenix, Sherlock Holmes, Is Anybody There?, George Clooney's The Monuments Men and Johnny English: Reborn.
Miles is the chair of Radio 4's long running comedy show, The Newsquiz and is a stalwart of shows such as Just a Minute and I'm sorry I Haven't a Clue. He has written and performed In and Out of The Kitchen, co-performed with Frankie Boyle on his own radio series: Miles Jupp's Real World and presented four series of BBC Radio 4 Extra's topical show Newsjack.
A familiar face on the small screen, Miles has done the usual round of comedy panel shows like Have I Got News For You, Mock The Week, Never Mind The Buzzcocks, Argumental and Just A Minute. He starred in all three series of Rev, a BAFTA Award winning sitcom for BBC2 in which he stars alongside Tom Hollander. In addition to appearing in the award laden, highly acclaimed The Thick of It and all four of the children's series Balamory.
Miles opened at the Edinburgh festival with a narrated adaptation of Fibber In The Heat, his hilarious tale about idiotically blagging his way into the press corp during an England cricket tour of India and went on to do a 45 date UK tour. The tale, published by Ebury Press was shortlisted for both the William Hill Sports Book of the Year and the MCC and Cricket Society Book of the Year.
"Miles was so so good! I appreciated the fact that he did a bit of research before the event. Everyone was laughing at his jokes. We had 32 awards to present yesterday, and I was worried he was going to lose the audience attention, but no: it didn‘t feel like a long process at all, Miles made the presentation so enjoyable."
