Our first Speaker Afternoon Tea of 2018 took place on Monday 14th May 2018 at the IoD on Pall Mall, London.
The theme was Millennials: What are their expectations of work? What are the challenges they face? What challenges does your business face, both managing and marketing to them? Are they really all that different, or is there a lot of media hype?!
The event started with a presentation from Dr Eliza Filby, visiting lecturer at Kings College, London who has written and consulted extensively on Millennial issues. She helps businesses get to grips, not just with their millennial employees, but with the ‘Generation Gap’ in their office and potentially among their clients.
She then chaired a panel about the management of millennials featuring Roberta Lucca (70% of her 60 strong workforce are millennials) and leadership expert Chris Roebuck:
The second panel dealing with marketing to millennials featured retail tech consultant, Alex Sbardella and jam and beer entrepreneur Fraser Doherty.
